In fact, the upstream and downstream industrial linkage effect of silicone rubber industry has begun to emerge gradually. Some experts point out that the big highlight of the development of silicone rubber industry is that it can greatly improve the domestic self-sufficiency rate of rubber. According to statistics, if the proportion of silicone rubber consumption in China increased from 6.5% to 33% by 2020, the overall domestic self-sufficiency rate of rubber could be increased from about 50% to more than 80%, which would greatly alleviate the supply shortage of rubber and reduce the production cost of rubber processing industry.
